Overview

Zoom provides high quality web conferencing for teaching and learning at Duke. Zoom Meetings can be used with Canvas to make it easy for students to access class meetings – and works closely with the Gradebook and Calendar tools.

How to Use

Zoom can be added to your Canvas course Navigation by choosing Settings and selecting the Navigation tab. Next to Zoom, choose the triple dot ⋮ and select + Enable. Then, select Save to confirm.

You can also find and use Zoom in the Modules tool by selecting the + button and choosing “Add External Tool.”

Support

The Duke Help Desk provides support for Duke staff, instructors and students for Zoom Meetings. Learn more about the Zoom Canvas integration.

Privacy & Security

Duke has a Signed Security and Privacy Agreement with Zoom.
